The Technology Committee is headed by the National Director for Technology supported by the Technology National Team. This committee shall help Innovators build up on their ideas. This committee shall proceed with this in the following manner.
Online workshops will be organised every two months for the WYHF - India members. Each workshop will focus on a different area and help the participants gain knowledge about that particular field. These workshops will also focus on building relations among the attendees as they will work on several smaller groups as a part of activities. The workshops will be facilitated by the National Team along with a few externals if required. Majority of the workshop content will focus on technological skills and content will be devoted to the technicalities of the focus area. Several case studies related to the focus area shall also be provided to understand the topic better. These workshops would have a maximum of 35 - 40 members per batch. At the end of the workshop the members will split into 5 - 6 teams to work further.
The teams formed in the workshops will work on a startup idea based on the knowledge and skills acquired. All the teams will have to submit their proposals to WYHF - India within one month of the workshop. A panel of Professionals will provide inputs for the proposal. This will ensure that the project moves in the right direction.
After the submission, a mentor will be allocated to each team so that he/she can support them in their journey. The mentors will be allocated for a term i.e one working year of WYHF - India. But new mentors can be assigned for the new term and the teams can continue to work on their projects. Even if any team doesn't win TEACH Awards, they will continue receiving mentorship and basic support.
All the teams will continue to work on their innovation for the year and at the end of the year top 3 innovations will be supported by WYHF - India. This ensures that all the teams get enough time to think their ideas through and thus have a better solution.
These sessions will be conducted regularly to improve our knowledge on various aspects of technology in cardiovascular health. Either external faculty shall be invited or the National Team members could facilitate the same.
