The National team along with volunteer members will work on preparing the content of the campaigns. These campaigns could include the following parts
Heart disease is not only a medical problem. It is shaped by what people eat, where they live, what they can afford, and whether the systems around them make the healthy choice the easy one. Medicine treats the patient in front of it; advocacy changes the conditions that put them there. The Advocacy Committee exists to shift those conditions. It mobilizes young people to speak up for cardiovascular health where it is too often ignored, in their communities, in public conversation, and in the policies that govern prevention and care. The work ranges from raising awareness on the ground, to building public will, to pressing decision-makers for change that outlasts any single campaign. Young people have the most to gain from a healthier future and the most credibility in demanding it. The Advocacy Committee turns that standing into influence, ensuring the generation that will live with these decisions has a real hand in making them.
1) Outlined below are the policy statements developed by the World Youth Heart Federation (WYHF), which reflect our evidence-informed positions on a range of key issues related to cardiovascular health, prevention, equity, and youth engagement. These statements are intended to guide advocacy efforts, inform stakeholders, and amplify youth-led perspectives across various aspects of cardiovascular health policy and practice.
