He founded WYHF in 2020 and has been working in global cardiovascular health ever since. He is a World Heart Federation Emerging Leader and J&J One Young World Scholar.

Mery’s passion and expertise center on advancing how global health systems deliver care for diabetes and cardiovascular conditions, especially for children and adolescents in low‑ and middle‑income countries. Her research examines system‑level barriers and the psychological factors that shape healthcare‑seeking behaviors, with the goal of generating evidence that drives stronger policies and more equitable access to high‑quality care across diverse populations.

Dr. Gurleen is a Cardiology Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital with a strong interest in a clinician-investigator career. She is passionate about clinical research, translating scientific advancements into direct patient care, digital medical education, and knowledge sharing within the healthcare community.
